Comparable to Wii Sports, but from the creators of Guitar Hero and Rock Band. Rhythm-based sports game that utilizes the motion sensors in the Apple TV's Siri remote (or the free Beat Sports Remote app for iOS[apple.com]). I don't think this has ever been free in the 5 years since it's been released.
That stood out as odd to me, too. The best reason I can think of is that it's only available on Apple TV and the ratings are pretty inconvenient to get to.

It's pretty fun on the Nintendo switch, but that also is with joycons which suit this game well. Wife enjoyed playing it with me for a few sessions. Can't speak to the controls with Siri remote or phone app
I was able to claim it without owning an Apple TV. I will tell everyone what the game is like if I come across one in the future (probably second hand).

The Appstore on the Apple TV shows 60+ ratings with 3.7 stars.

I just tried it. It worked fine when I initiated the install on my iPhone it prompted that it would be installed on Apple TV.
