My I7 3770 non K with a modest OC @ 4.1 all cores + GTX 1080 OC to 2G/11G, DDR3 @ 2G just won't stop providing good performance.
On Control @ 1080p I am running max settings on everything (but of course no RT). 58-82 fps, no judder or lag whatsoever, a very smooth experience. Granted I'm running a 144hz monitor and I'm not able to get that high hz, but my old eyes can't tell anymore anyway. GSYNC takes care of any possible judder, so it's all goodness. My frametime is slow, 13-15ms, but I don't notice it at all either.
Other than RT, I am absolutely certain that my gaming experience will not be substantially any different even if I spluged a couple K on a new build.
Instead of following the upgrade chase I've spent the money on other quality tech, like an enterprise level dell workstation laptop, or just put it in the bank. This is why it's important to buy quality parts to begin with, I think - your longevity is fantastic if you do your work right the first time.

Honestly I've used this kit with multiple Ryzen builds and never had an issue getting to XMP rated speeds. Amazing kit for this price

Thanks for the reply. I ended up going with a Team T-Force Delta kit for 60 bucks using a Newegg welcome code.
3200mhz, 16-18-18-38 latency with RGB that syncs with Polychrome so I think I did well choosing that one.

Mine was emailed immediately after signing up. And thankfully so since I was worried the set would sell out haha
