Have bought a few of these before. They literally last a week or 2 max. What happens is the top part loses its grippyness onto the top part of the AirPods case as lint gets into it. Eventually the top part doesn't "stay down" on the case.

Tl;dr: it's cheap, spend more on a better case

I got mine yesterday and think at least a cover would be nice to keep the case free from scratches, especially at the $3/case price point. It also comes with a clip that you can put on a bag or belt loop which is pretty convenient.
