Planning on starting my first build, probably with a Ryzen 5 3600, GTX 2060 Super and waiting on b550 MB to come out, should I buy these or wait?
Thanks

I would wait if you can, the new B550 boards will be on sale soon and will be more future proof.

b550 will be more money. b450 mobo after bios update will work just fine. Also, unless you are over clocking, you won't notice much difference.
pcie gen 4 on b550 although much faster on paper, in real life, you can't tell.
GTX 2060 won't be worth the money, when ampere gpu drops in sept ish.
if you want b550. get it in july (launches in june, but no one will ship until july), but i would really wait for nvda ampere series. use a cheap video card until then.
also, you want 3600 ram. cpu works better with 3600. unless you fix the latency issue with lower freq ram. then it evens out

Any recommendations on a cheap descent GPU?
Thanks

That's what I'm thinking, I was just wondering since this is just the RAM just buy it and save it
B550 should work with this RAM. Even the X570 would probably work well with this RAM. Why wait?

Hynix CJR is supposed to be decent mid-level RAM. I've got it in some of my Corsair RAM and have been pretty happy with it.
Thanks

On a budget I'm gonna guess a 1650 super is probably the right sweet spot? Maybe a 1660 (non ti?)
Thanks
i think he meant use whatever GPU you have for now, not buying a new cheap GPU
Thanks
these are 4-5 years old, but if you are 1080 gaming they should be fine. 4k gaming. you need the big boys
nvda gtx 970
on AMD side.
RX 570 or 580 seem safe to me.
all of these used should be 50-90
keep in mind. NVDA Ampere price hasn't been announced.
low end, 300-400. mid 600-800 high 1000-1200 is what people are guessing.
good luck with your build.
