you need a SDS+ drill to use these. SDS max can handle bigger bits. however, if you want to break it apart to move it. you can drill a series of smaller holes in a line and then pack it with a bunch of framing nails, and start pounding. Should split apart. If your lazier, you can do the same holes, and buy the two part liquid on amazon. It creates a reaction with causes it to expand, also splitting it. Don't do it with an 18" long SDS, for every given increase in length, you actually loose power. Always go for the shortest bit to get the job done.

Look under specifications.... yes, 3/8"
These have been on sale/clearance for awhile, but the 1" bit seems to be a new one.

Thats been around ..... ordered 2 @ 6.28$ each, and because i didn't pick up in 7 days, peckers killed my Order.

Waited in line for +15 minutes, then the guy says I "must have" canceled the order ...... i was offended.

"Why would i wait if i canceled that order??", i said (nicely ..... I'm no Jerk)

Their emails confirming the order is ready for p/u NOW says 7 days to p/u ...... that was new.
Lowes does have a 7 day hold policy, but will manually extend if you ask them. I have learned to call and have them physically touch the order before I bother stopping by. I also don't like waiting and waiting and they can't find it. I chalk it up as the process of getting a perceived deal.... after all, perception is everything. Smilie

Any special hardware or whatnot you'd need to use this (and/or how many holes I can expect to do before it dulls)? I have a giant block of concrete previous homeowner poured into the ground, and I've tried just about everything to break it apart. Figure maybe I can drill a bunch of holes and either freeze it apart in winter or use the holes as a wedge.
