No. No it isn't.

You've fallen for the marketing hype.

I've collected headphones for over 2 decades and am a voracious reader at head-fi.org. I've owned headphones that cost over $1,000 and as cheap as $8.

People NEED to explore and experience headphones outside of mainstream marketing. Companies like Bose, Beats, Monster, and Apple spend as much or more on marketing than they do on engineering.

See what's out there at much lower cost. When you can get 95% of the performance at 30% of the cost, it's worthy of consideration.

For ANC BT I recommend considering the Taotronics Soundsurge 46 (the late 2019 update with USB-C, not the prior generations) which can be purchased for well under $100.

For wired planar over-the ear headphones, the Monoprice m570 and Takstar HF-580 are worthy alternatives to the more expensive Sendy Aiva and Audeze LCD models.

I realize that there is a current anti-China sentiment, but most of the name brand manufacturing occurs outside of the U.S. as well, e.g., Audeze Mobius manufactured entirely in China. There are bargains to be had in the world of Chi-fi.

A/V is one area where the old adage "you get what you pay for" really is not always the case.
I totally get wanting good sound but why would you go for Bose.
Have you heard the 8323s at all? They sound very good. The only thing lacking is build quality. I still have my non Bluetooth one from a few years ago.

Bummer, I just bought these at the listed price, without the promo code. But I like that these can be used wired just as well, and for the same price I spent on the non-BT version of this same headset.

I got a pair of HK Wireless Soho headphones recently (which handle aptX). I'm thinking about returning them if these sound better. Does anyone already own them?

The glue will weaken inside and cause parts to rattle if they get thrown around too much. Source: My kids did that but it was a quick fix with a screwdriver and some super glue.

Good to know. Thanks and repped. Got these both for my kids as well. Hopefully they hold up okay.
