I'd wait for this one to go back to $35 again:

Purchased last time it went on sale.
- Very loud
- Flimsy connector, is not secure
- pressure gauge inaccurate, by a lot
- not well balanced
Would not recommend.
Perhaps you got a bad unit. Mine has consistently performed with accuracy and effectiveness, for over two years. This includes bicycle, motorcycle, and car tires.

I bought a Ryobi tire inflator last year. It was the previous model (not the current one at Home Depot) that you set & forget. I used it 5X and it stopped working. I was really disappointed because it worked so well initially.

There's bound to be a dud every once in a while. What did they tell you when you tried to warranty it?

That was probably the older version with the analog pressure readback

i love RYOBI tools. they're honestly better quality than craftsman. This will do for those big pool floats!

I have this unit (digital, newer) and the earlier version with the analog pressure gauge. They both work the same way and are equal in performance. It's a great thing to have around to top off bike tires, and sports balls. For topping off tires on cars, you will find it a little slow - but it works if you have the patience. Note that it will get warm during heavy use.

As part of a garage or trunk emergency kit for a road trip, it will pay for itself.

For connector on this (or any other type of inflator / pump with a cheap head), you can chop off the end and replace it with a hose barb for 1/4" air tools.

Once you do that you can use upgraded chucks like these:

I coach multiple soccer teams. I keep this in my trunk to inflate soccer balls before practices. Digital gauge doesn't work the way I expected. But this is a must own for coaches that already have ryobi one+ batteries.
