Better deal on the Extended, if you consider the extra batteries.

Same price at Bestbuy. Good deal on a fast, 4k , easy to fly, easy to charge, 320g drone. Easily worth the $100 premium over the Mavic Mini. Comes from a French company recently included a US DOD program with some US based manufacturing. https://www.theverge.com/2019/5/2...-china-dji

Read newer reviews; the drone is much better after updates and provides an honest 24-25 minute flight time.

This doesn't have a true 3-axis gimbal, the Sensor is no better, and you can't fly this easily in Europe.

I had this drone for 2 years. It's as good as 3-axis gimbal drone. Lot of intelligent flight modes and still competing flight time. It is so quiet. The positives are many, I really loved this bird except...

Wifi transmission issue. When it isn't there this drone is a joy, but I get the wifi issue more often and that's why I had to sell this out.

For someone looking for real info, look at the numerous video examples on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byLWxBHQTb8

Otherwise, its 4k vs 2.7k video; 100Mbps video vs 40Mbps video; 20MP stills vs 12MP; 35MPH vs 29MPH; better stability in wind; manual cam controls; better build quality; and dronies like follow me and following a planned flight path. The Anafi also has USB PD battery charging; a full 180 swing on the camera; launch from hand; and you can fly it anywhere without checking in for DJI's permission. Don't forget the really cool lossless zoom.

The Mini is smaller; lighter, cheaper, longer battery life (at least on paper.)

I'm not in Europe so I have no opinion about that nor would I care.

Transmission: in suburban/urban areas try manually pick a 5GHz channel between 149-163. (For rural, use 2.4GHz. ) Get a copy of "wifi analyzer" an pick an open channel but expect this to only help a bit; the range is long enough that your phone won't show many of the stations. Finally, put your phone in airplane mode.

I regularly get ~0.5 miles in urban and >1 mile in rural. I get more the higher I fly. I really dislike not having a good view of the drone so I rarely want more.

Thanks. Yes I had played around between the diff. wifi channel. Still I had fair bit of issues. I used DJI spark before which was wifi too, but that wasn't as bad this one. Anyways I don't have it anymore, had great fun as long as I had this one.

Those are good reasons why the Anafi would be a good deal if under $300.

No way is it worth $500. Too old and too flawed.
