Ah I thought the Comfort Desktop was the Ergonomic Desktop. I recently broke the dongle and now the entire keyboard set is useless without it

This is not a great deal
Couple of weeks back, this came on a deal for 30$
Also it seems like the old version of ergonomic keyboard 4000 is cooler than this model

This is the one product I keep swearing will fail/die, but it just keeps holding on. In all my years in offices, I've seen exactly two of them.

Congrats to them on the design (especially for carpal tunnel sufferers), but I've never been able to make them work.

Ahhh... I thought this was the Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Wireless Keyboard.

I have one I bought to use at work and would gladly buy another to use at home.

This post has made me realize that maybe they aren't making that one anymore???!?! That's a huge loss.... best keyboard I have used (no...I'm not a gamer that wants or needs cherry mx keys on my keyboard).

TLDR: I can't comment on the Sculpt, but skip the regular MS ergo.

I got the regular MS ergo keyboard (first one linked above) from BB a few months ago, and I started looking at alternatives after giving it three weeks. The key action is slow/muddy, especially on the return. I'm not an insanely fast typer, but I'm on the high end, and I felt like it slowed me down/caused errors at times. I've tried several versions looking for the performance of the old white MS Natural keyboards with PS/2 connectors, but this caused me to give up on MS.

After doing a bunch of reading, I figured I'd drop some coin and get one that kept showing up on a bunch of "best of" lists: Logitech ERGO K850. It has chiclet keys with pretty nice response/action, and the wrist pad is really nice. I didn't think I would use the feature to switch to typing on my phone with one button press, but I've found myself using it enough that I might get a new keyboard with the same capabilities for my HTPC. Not worth full price for everyone, but for an IT person, it's like a good chair: money well spent.

The Sculpt Ergo is my favorite keyboard too... sad they aren't making anymore. I actually use it for gaming too and it's great.

It is still listed. Not sure why people are suggesting it is discontinued?

Anyone could moment on this vs the 4000? Still waiting for a mechanical wave/split like I had over 20 years ago. It's in a box long to be discovered by my will's executor. *sigh*

Just returned Sculpt Comfort keyboard and mouse to Best Buy after trying for few days. Beautiful beautiful design but non functional.

Keys are too small. Mouse too small for large hands.

Got this keyboard for design but key press feels terrible. Too short and mushy feeling.
Anyone making ergonomic mechanical keyboard?

Is the ergonomic keyboard basically an update to the Ergonomic 4000 model? It looks similar but that Function key row is very odd.

I like the Microsoft Sculpt keyboard for general use. The keyboard is ergonomic with separated number pad, which is really helpful. I personally use it(the keyboard set w/o mouse) for more than 5+ years at work, no complaint. The batteries last very long too.

It is definitely not a gaming set .
