Norton 360 - 5 Devices $25, 10 Devices $30 at Amazon or NewEgg (download or CD), $22.49 at Frys

Update thanks to MAV44 - $22.49 for 5 users at Frys, note $2.50 promo code [frys.com]

For those who use this and are looking for a renewal.

- The extra features in the current 360 product, like Password Manager and VPN, aren't automatically installed. That's a good thing, as I'm not planning on using them on most of the computers. It's a fairly direct replacement for the Internet Security product, with virus and firewall, if you want to set it up that way.

- Activating the software requires a credit card. You'll need to create a Norton account, or use an existing one.

- But the Auto Renewal feature can be turned off immediately, even before your first installation, and it's a good idea to turn it off.

- Ignore the "3 months free" offer for turning Auto Renewal back on, that's 3 months on your next, automatic renewal.

- It does seem to require you download and install the product, rather than updating a current installation, but that doesn't take long and IIRC it's always been like that.

Norton 360 Deluxe - 5 Devices $24.99 [amazon.com]

Norton 360 Premium - 10 Devices $29.99 [amazon.com] - Amazon Download version with 100GB backup > NLA

Also available are the physical media versions if you prefer that.

What is the catch with Auto-renewal? Do I need to provide credit card information?

You can keep it and use it when your current sub expires. When you buy it, it does not expire.

This is true, though keep in mind that once you activate the first of the 5/10 licenses, all the rest are con-current and expire at the same time.

For Xfinity Internet customers:

Not the same product, but Norton Online Security is free if you have Xfinity Internet service.
