What's the difference between the SPL-100 in this post and the Klipsch R-110SW?

Slightly better amp I think, sub is the same, cabinet is slightly different. I believe they had some quality issues with the previous version.

I had both. The spl has wider frequency response range hence better for movies. I ended up keeping the spl because it's just better.

Can you please help me understand about the quality issues they had? I have R 112SW and want to find out.

Amps would occasionally fail for some reason, one call to Klipsch and they will mail you a new amp so you can fix it. I have the 115-SW haven't had one issue.

Based on your experience, which one would you recommend?

Was considering the 100sw sub paired with the R-41PM speakers... Would that be a better setup than my current Klipsch ProMedia 2.1? This may be a stupid question to some, but I'm pretty ignorant about speakers...

Thx. Man 115SW is a beast
I initially bought that but thought it would be an overkill for my media room. So didn't even try it and returned. Sometimes I think though I should have kept it

When I spoke with Klipsch on the phone regarding the differences, it didn't really matter which one you would pick as they would sound almost identical. You can found a couple resellers on Amazon to sell the 115 for around six or seven hundred. My 115 rocks! I would recommend dual subs if you can do it. I also have the 112 and it hits hard as well just not as deep as the 115.
