You can usually get the 7 port version of these for $10-12, and I think it's well worth it, since it comes with the flat sideways plug, and the 7th port is very handy for AC adapters and oddly shaped plugs!

The 7 port has 1440 rated joules as well. Spend the extra few bucks if you're protecting your $1000+ TV/ desktop setup.

Awesome. I'm using 20 year old surge protectors for two of my most used devices (my cable modem/router and Keurig machine) and the Keurig recently shit the bed so I wonder if it's because of the old surge protector. Time to chuck those old surge protectors and get these.

ETA: I did end up getting the 1440 joules 7 outlet version for extra protection and the space saving plugs. $9 more for two but worth it it for extra peace of mind.

People trust me, these break really easy. I have a couple that stopped working in less than year with just the regular use. I wouldn't recommend them.

I would any day rate these outlet surger a utter waste designed product.. if there are 8 ports.u can utilize only 4 of them..the ports are soo close to each other , with laptop and some quick charge mobile chargers we can never fit them next to each other..these companies should wake up and redesign the distance between ports to really fit 8 chargers side by side with out an issue..
