I'd still wait. They are just starting to liquidate their fleet.

Do not see the value pricing. Most popular vehicles have high mileage, even a 2019 may have 90,000 on it. And the prices are very close to Kelly Blue Book. Looked at the Mustang Convertibles, which are not popular rentals because of higher rental fees and not family oriented, so they are lower mileage, but you can get better used car pricing off the regular online listings sites such as carguru. Perhaps when Hertz actually has a fire sale with a real bankruptcy auction the pricing may be a value.

As others have said, this is just the tip of the iceberg. A mass liquidation by Hertz will push down prices across the used car market.

Most people don't realized most of the cars they sell are not rentals, they are mostly from the auctions. They sell most of the rental fleets back to the auctions.

These are priced near blue book as others have mentioned. Then you factor in it being a rental that has been beat on, covid, and bankruptcy liquidation. I don't see the price reflecting any of the 3 above reductions.

What? Hertz buys from dealerships with fleet pricing. They technically lease the vehicles so the cars are titled to a holding company. They usually pay 10-15% below sticker price. They try to sell their best cars 2-3 years old at their branded dealerships and whatever is left goes to Mannheim or Copart depending on the condition.

Last one I got had blood in the head liner 😬 people do nasty things in rentals and completely destroy them. There's no way I'd buy one unless I got it for half off or something even then...
