Danby 50 Pint Dehumidifier with Pump at Costco B&M -$169.99 YMMV

My Costco B&M has this Danby 50 pint dehumidifier with a pump for $169.99, which is $10 cheaper than online plus you avoid the $9.99 shipping charge. I'm happy to have paid $20 more than other similar recent deals to have one with a built in pump, plus it has a 2 year warranty with Costco's awesome return policy if anything goes wrong. YMMV as it may not be in all Costco B&M stores, though I've confirmed it in 2 stores in different states (Lancaster PA and Christiana DE).

I bought this in store a couple of weeks ago. I am happy with it so far. I was surprised how light it is compared to my 25 year old kenmore. It is much quieter than my old one. I haven't tried the pump feature to empty it yet.

The price in the title would be helpful.

Quick question: where exactly is the "Pump Drain Outlet"? The user manual coming with it must be written by a minimalist, there is no mentioning of what's included in the package, and for setting up the pump drain, all it says is "remove the cover from the pump drain outlet and attached the provided drain hose" -- where the heck is this "pump drain outlet"? Mad

Picked one in store ($169). Was looking at the Insignia model from Best Buy for $150 (when on sale) but decided to spend an extra $20 for this unit due to an extra one year warranty period. Build-in pump allows me to place the unit in a bit more convenient location than the previous model Speaking of the previous model: certainly hope Danby will perform better than the Arctic King (Midea) from Walmart (purchased in September of last year) - the unit failed with one month (fortunately, just in time to have it returned hassle-free back to the store).

By the way, plenty of stock at Middle River location (zip 21220).

I totally get what you mean about the directions being lacking! You just jam the small hose into the bottom right corner of the back of the machine and push the pump button once so it pumps when it gets full. So convenient!

Its in the back lower corner on outside. It comes with two hoses. One is about 1/2 inch to drain directly into a drain and the pump hose is about the same size as an ice maker hose but is longer, I think 20 feet.

Thank you so much for the explanation. I found it. But it leaks like hell. This is how I insert it (please refer to picture here: https://imgur.com/xIaYNDy.jpg), did I do it right? Is there any way to stop it from leaking?

That's how I have mine set up, but I don't have any issues with leaking. Maybe try jamming the hose in more? If you continue having issues, Costco has an awesome return policy and you can try getting another one.

Remove the hose and re-insert as far as it will go.

Try to set the humidity level to 35 or 40% and run it in a continuous mode for 12 to 24 hours. Report findings (specifically: the amount of water collected). The fact that you got some water tells me that the compressor is working. When my unit (not this one, by a different manufacturer) broke, the compressor was not engaging at all and there was absolutely no water being collected.
