I think the slx DC combo deals are usually in the 229 range ? Rods are usually 99 reel 189 . You'll see combos as high as 289. Love my slx DC combo. seems like a great price sub 200 shipped. the regular slx reel is 99. getting DC for free basically.

can't seem to replicate the 187 price though as the DC combo is listed at 219. bringing it to to 204. for those interested as far as the site is showing me, only the 6.3:1 ratio reels are available, all the 7-8 speed are OOS

Whatever version you get, pretty much a free rod (nice rod by itself). Looks like they only have 6:3 to 1 ratios left for the DC now. This is the lowest price I've seen.

Huh? You realize you're getting a rod normally priced at $100 with this reel, right? Don't need the rod? Sell it new and you'll recoup most of the cost of the rod's value new. Most reel warranties aren't going to exceed 1-2 years, and if you buy with a CC that offers extended warranty you'll get a little on more.
Beyond that, it's pretty normal to have to pay to have your reel cleaned and serviced unless you do it yourself (which isn't hard if you just take some time, patience, and learn how to do it). Furthermore, Shimano is probably one of the better companies that has good availabiltiy for replacement parts too.

Doubt they will cancel. You can generslly get 10% off any day. Mskes me wonder if that deal works on the other excluded brands though.
