    Rumor has it that on July 7th, so-called Matisse refresh, 3600XT, 3800XT and 3900XT, will be released along with major price cut on the existing models. These XT lineups should have higher base clock, improved overclocking and boost control mechanism, and higher RAM support, all at the same price of X lineups that they replace.

    It's still more than a month away, but if you are not in a hurry, maybe it's worth the wait. AMD is expected to officially announce it on June 16th.

    Either one. 10600K is faster. But not by much. At least not at something you are not going to notice. "blows it out of the water" is a really exaggerated description of how much faster 10600k is. More like it's barely a nose faster.

    I'm buying parts as I find deals for my first build but I don't plan to have everything until like late summer or so.

    I can hold out if prices will be lower and if stock won't be an issue.
