10 bucks isnt for the router, its not even for the modem - its for the Fiber to ethernet converter box that you cannot buy. Thats why even if you have your own compatible modem/router they can still charge you the $10.

Got mine installed yesterday in less than 40 minutes. Getting between 650-750 download and 800-850 upload. Much better than the 75 download before.

Do you get called later to set up an appointment for installation? In the checkout page, you can only pick a day of the week but not a date. I won't be moved into my new place until June 15. Also, does payment start on checkout or on installation? Thanks!

AFAIK that's not accurate. It's the speed from gateway device. You can actually log into the device and initiate the same test yourself from the device web interface. The tests you start from that webpage show up in the internal device log as well.

If you're getting 900+, gateway is working correctly and the issue is likely with your devices. For example, my wireless devices almost never measure above 500+ despite being in the same room as wireless access point. Wired devices are typically getting the full bandwidth.

I got phone calls the night before installation day and early morning of installation day. Monthly charge starts on the day the service is on.

I had the same issue, AT&T website said fiber is unavailable for my address. I called and they were able to get fiber to my house. It turns out there was an issue in their CRM system and the rep took care of it and signed me up right there and then. The fiber line was running infront of my house and they just needed to splice and get the fiber to the side of the house. look for a green or blue AT&T box near your house.

Fiber installed yesterday. It was easy since my house is pre-wired with fiber, only took about an hour. Turned off wifi and set pass through on the gateway for my Google Wifi router and everything is good to go!

Ethernet devices getting 940+ Mbps up/down. Wifi devices topping out at about 400-500 Mbps. Considering getting a new router but realistically, the majority of my house is already wired and not sure if I need my phone to be faster lol.

Had fiber 2+ years. Was paying &70 for 300meg. I called and told the automated system "loyalty department" and it sent me straight there. I didn't push, just let the guy pitch mobile phone and streaming before saying no, and then he offered me 1gig plus HBO for $50 right after that. You guys are the best.
