10 bucks isnt for the router, its not even for the modem - its for the Fiber to ethernet converter box that you cannot buy. Thats why even if you have your own compatible modem/router they can still charge you the $10.

If I had a dollar for every time I received this offer in the mail from AT&T even though they don't offer the service in my neighborhood, I'd never need to pay for internet access again.

I was excited about this speed but once installs the speed were awful around the house. They said I need booster all through the house. I just went back to my old that just works.

Anyone get their second $100 gift card with the SAVEMORE promo yet?
what is this 2nd 100$ card about?
I went online and see that the "100$ GC for online order" offer gets added to cart.

[EDIT] nver mind, I see that the 2nd offer gets added as an additional popup "return to cart and get 100 more via SAVEMORE"

This is a super slick deal.

cooper2053Agreed. Spectrum speed (300mbps) is way faster than AT&T 1GBps. Spectrum stability is awesome. AT&T is very unstable - You get disconnect for online gaming, buffering, slow loading and website not loading at all which needs to be refresh.

Do not have this problem with Spectrum.
Must be your area, I've had ATT Fiber for quite some time now and it's stable and reaches its advertised speeds. I do quite a bit of FPS gaming.

Built in wifi routers from any internet provider are usually bad. The first thing I did when I got ATT fiber was to hook up my actually good higher-end Asus wifi router.

Which wifi router do you recommend? Any suggestions?

I'm moving in a month or so to an ATT fiber location, I have them for cell service now, so already have an account. I'm thinking about Ubiquiti equipment, does that work with ATT fiber?

I've had AT&T gigabit fiber for a couple years now. It's as good as the much-ballyhooed Chattanooga EPB gigabit in my office, with the exception of a slightly slower ping time. Haven't had any major outage that I can remember. It's been great and I highly recommend it.

What router does someone recommend to go with the ATT Gateway? I was playing Modern Warfare and the stinking wifi disconnected. It does that with my S10 Lite and Samsung Tab S4, and then it tells me to sign in again. Either there's some interference with something or the router is out of whack. When I told Spectrum I was leaving, dude on the phone offered me 400 mbps speed with the 44.99 I was already paying...If I had known ATT was horrible, I would've taken the 400 speed. Hindsight is 20/20.

Have any existing customers been able to successfully have a CSR apply the $50 1gig/HBO Max promo pricing if they are already under a different promo? I tried to sign up when the deal was first published, didn't work online and I figured it wasn't in my area. Then yesterday we get 2 AT&T agents knocking on the door and letting us know about the promo, and they say it's available to existing customers too. I called up and the CSR told me I wasn't eligible because I already had a promo active (which expires in 48 days.) She wouldn't remove the old promo and apply the new one for whatever reason--even if I'm extending my agreement (dumb).

Curious to see what others have experienced?

I have worked for AT&T for 6 years, and normally the only way I have seen existing customer get current promos is if you are doing a conversion. Example going from HSIA to FIBER or from UVERSE TV to DIRECTV. If anyone needs help signing up for new service or has questions about their current service please free to reach out to me. If I can't help you personally I will get you pointed in the right direction or connected to someone who can.

Is it possible to negotiate on this $49.99 + $10 deal after a year? I'm wondering how much lower could we get this down to.
