I think that probably helps, LOL. They used to promise fiber here, but they stopped talking about it completely. Some towns in this greater metro area have it, but they're done expanding access. AT&T is a joke here.

I'm in Kansas City and Google gave up expanding their fiber network here as well.

I chatted with them and asked the about combining my directv bill with att fiber. Online if I sign up using the $200 GC offer it doesn't give me the additional $10 discount so it shows as $59.99 including the modem fee. I was told if I sign up I can chat or call and they will combine it for the additional discount. I'll give it a go, hopefully it works out. I currently have spectrum and paying $59.99/month for 200 Mbps so even at the same price I'm at least getting ~1 Gbps up/down.

I switched from Spectrum to ATT Fiber last August as soon as it was available in my area. My bill was scheduled to jump up from $70 to $100 at the end of the month, so I started an online chat to see what they could do for me. The online rep couldn't help, but a supervisor joined and gave me the phone number for the Loyalty team (866-446-4115). I called them and the rep offered me some bundles. When I declined, he said that the best he could do was to permanently lock in my bill at $69.99 for the Fiber 1000 plan, which I'm perfectly happy with.

Keep in mind, I'm not a pushy person and have no complaints about the service other than the price (which is comparable to Spectrum in my area anyway). I basically just called and asked for a deal and they gave it to me.

So I have had AT&T Gig service since 2018. Have paid $95 every month for just the internet. Last month this dropped to $90 and I got HBO Max without me doing anything.

From this link I asked in chat if I could get the listed non-promo price on the link (so not $49.99 but $70). Got sent to loyalty department and the guy called me. I was nice and outright said I didn't want the $50 price just the new not sale price. He was blown away I wasn't demanding the $50 price so he looked up how to change my price and did it.

Now I have $69.99 going forward no equipment price no contract and still have HBO Max.

I would've pushed for the $49.99 than if that couldn't happen I would've settled for the 2nd best offer.

I just found out the $10 off expired today, not even a year like they said. Now they refuse to give me a discount (no offer available on my account). Sigh.

Is the "Free HBO Max" just a 30 day free trial? Having trouble finding confirmation on this. That's what it said on my order confirmation. That's pretty sucky if true; A 30 day trial isn't mentioned anywhere on the fiber page, in the details, or during checkout. The only place 30 days is mentioned before the order confirmation is if you click learn more about hbo max [att.com] from the fiber page and scroll down to the middle of the page. Even that page is full of "HBO Max now included" advertisement everywhere. You can get a 14 day free trail without any service purchase. Still a good deal on gigabit internet, but I feel cheated. I just had someone tell me in chat that this is a "HBO Max included with the gigabit fiber internet service for free is a life time promotion".

Is there another adult living in your house/apartment? If so start new service in their name, and cancel yours. Do this every 12 months. Best way to keep the lowest price.

Also you will get the $225 in gift cards for signing up. Well worth the 30 min it will take, and the 12 hours without internet to switch over.

I am not sure if I understand it correctly, but is HBO MAX free or included in that 59$+Taxes price for the full 12 years?
Or is it just for some time and then you have to pay extra?
