is this a good monitor for office work and basic video editing/photoshop? I'm looking for a monitor to connect my iPad Pro or Macbook Pro since working on small screen won't cut it now that we're basically WFH

Is there ever a deal from B&H that's not on backorder?

As far as I could see, no VESA compatibility on the model. Otherwise a decent entry level 4K monitor.

Edit: according to others it is VESA 100x100

No, this will have terrible color accuracy and viewing angles, being a TN panel. You definitely need an IPS panel for decent photo/video editing.

Note that the main selling point of this is the low response time which is important for gaming (especially FPS), whereas not really important for daily use.

Not a pro but IPS panels can display colors better than TN panels, if that's one of your photoshop concerns. This should be capable of handling regular office work without issues.

If you zoom in on the rear photo it looks vesa compatible. QA on Amazon says its 100 x 100 vesa compatible.

IPS would have been better but this is great for what you need it for.

No, it's not.

Color accuracy on TN panels is not very good. I'd suggest looking for an IPS panel.

If you have enough money for 4k gaming then you have enough money to buy yourself a better monitor. Hooking your tower up to a 60hz 4k TN panel would be doing it a disservice.

How is the grey scale on TN panels? Or what type of panel would you suggest if I'm looking at CT scans all day for my work and need a wide range of greys? (I'm not a radiologist so I don't need a monitor good enough to diagnostically read CTs).

I'd think a good contrast ratio would be the most important factor in having a wide range of grays. This monitor has a contrast ratio of 1000:1, which is a common contrast ratio. VA panels have the best contrast ratios, often around 3000:1. They tend to be more expensive than TN but cheaper than IPS.
