I recently got a few 240 gb Kingston SSDs, but havent installed them in yet. Did a bit of reading on SSD since i've been out of the loop for a while. It seems the Kingston doesn't haven't DRAM. Can someone with more knowledge explain how that affects performance, and more importantly, durability.

I'm contemplating about returning the Kingstons and getting Western Digital Blue SSD instead. Thoughts/advice? Thank you.

I wouldn't skimp on quality for just a few bucks - no DRAM means it won't use it for buffering, so more wear and tear on the flash cells and less performance. Check out the reviews (google SSD XXX review). Better deal now is the Patriot Burst series - does have DRAM, have bought a couple, can't say for sure. In the past staying with Samsung, or certain Kingston, never a problem. I hear WD Blue are also good, they're ex Sandisk
