This is more of an "uneven" hassle than anything. You then have to fan to get the charcoal evenly lit or have to stir fry the charcoal constantly. But excellent price thoughGrin

Just get et a weber (or others) charcoal chimney and youtube how to's.

Price jumps to regular price in cart.

EDIT: Only for certain locations. So YMMY. One location I checked does not correct the price once to checkout but not within a reasonable distance.

This is great to use until you forget about it and you come back to a melted charcoal starter at the bottom of your blazing hot coals.

I agree that a fire starter chimney is the better way to go. Other options are starter sticks/cubes.

I use this in conjunction with my chimney. Just stick this e-light into the side of the chimney and load some coal around it. Works great and I have time to setup the grill as this heats the coals.

Just have to have a little finesse so you don't melt the plastic cord or handle and know when to take it out.

you only need a single match and some newspaper for a chimney.
