I stopped by my local Homedepot[Homedepot.com] store in Cicero, IL and was searching for bitandbyte's post of the 432pc set (sold out) and saw this 349pc tool set down to $58.03 from $319. Although tool set doesn't include tool box, price is a steal if you can find one.
Just out of curiosity (new to slickdeals and the rules ect.) but this is an amazing deal, obviously hard to find a location with the set in stock, but why do members give it a thumbs down still? Also can anyone help me understand brickseek this is like the 3rd time I've checked it and saw that a certain item was in stock but it doesnt match what home depot's website says? Thanks
Nice thanks op. If I find this in store is there any way to verify what price it will ring up as before I get to the register?
You can call your local Home Depot and go through their automated service to look up a price. When I called for their 432pc set, it said they had one 1 in stock (sold out/inventory was off) at their clearance price of $113. But, it will give you their current price.
Looks great, if you are lucky enough to get one in stock.
I have a couple "maybes" around where I am at, but I have pieced together most of what is in there over the years already.

Nowadays people down vote for really any reason, but my suspicion is mostly if the deal is YMMV and they cannot find it themselves. Brickseek is just a third party that provides inventory of stock for retailers like Best Buy, Target and Home Depot. I've never had great experience using Brickseek to find a lower priced item and have often seen it in stock on Brickseek but not in store. It's really luck of the draw, and mind you my experiences were at Walmart.

What aisle did you find this on? With all the other tools, or on the clearance end caps?

I found it in their tools section where they have their mechanics tools set. It was hidden up top in their overstock racks.
