Appears to be a good deal just comparing the price of parts on partspicker:
Graphics card and CPU just by themselves comes out to $675. Memory $80; Not sure the motherboard, but say $80 even if a cheap one. Windows 10 $30 on some sites, Hard Drive $60. Case $50 approx. Power supply $60. And those prices are if you are getting everything really cheap.
There is an AMEX offer for 10% off Dell Business (I have it on my AMEX Blue for Business Card). If you have that offer, be sure to use it.
Go ahead and build this for me, for $150 less with a warranty.

No experience with Alienware myself -- anyone had issues with changes out components with these PC's? Or are there any other negatives I should know about before investing in an Alienware PC?

Which video card do you recommend if I don't do any gaming but just want to run a triple monitor setup or a large 43" 4k tv?

well , I look for ways to maximize the savings.. 10% ( your code ) + 10% CB + 10% ( DELL CODE) would have been nice 27% discount..

Everything a basic gaming system should be for $1k. This should be the specs for the price all the time.
No, you wont be playing AAA games @ 4k, but @1080 it will be fine.
With only a 512GB drive, you will be limited on the number of AAA games you can have installed. The CODMW folder on my system is 186GB.
