I got the infinity r162 and the center last time, is this good to go with it? I've been looking for a subwoofer and so far the options are Dayton 12, bic f12, the pl bic, or the jbl 550p...i mostly want a subwoofer for music first and movies second... I want the nice, clean, punchy bass... Any suggestions?

The Daytons are always recommended on these subs but Ive never owned one myself. The Polk is often recommended too as an another entry level option. I think any of these 8 inch options will add some bass for music but will lack if you want booming action scenes in movies. For $89 this one is probably a good option if you budget is limited.

I've been looking at something with good warranty and good sound production for both movies and music. If you're just going as cheap as you can and will never build, then something like this would probably suit you in a very small space. I am personally looking at the Bic Pl200ii and just paying a bit more for a sub that has rave reviews at a budget sub price

I don't think that is true. If it has mono rca output then it should work with any powered subwoofer. Unless of course question was regarding wireless pairing
