I bought two of these a few days ago - received them in two days, which was nice. As with many phones I order from Verizon Value Ebay store, the year of service when I went to activate was not loaded in their front end system. You need to contact Verizon Value through Ebay with your Tracfone account (if you have one) email, zip cod where you want your number, and the IMEI of your phone from the red card in the box. They frequently activate your phone within 24 hours then. Other than that particular hoop, super good deal. I recommend the floral case if you want one that actually protects rather than the solid color cases that are flimsy and easily break.
Phone will unlock after one year? Can we port number out after one year?
They should unlock after 365 days of service so the year you get with it accomplishes this goal, but you have to have probably add at least one more month so that your service remains active when you request an unlock (you have to actually formally request it unless their rules change over the next year) and port out your phone number (service has to be active for that to work - they make it easy in their online dashboard you can get a port out pin right there without contacting customer service).
Before they changed the rules to require a year, my tracfone year plan unlocked a Moto G Power I bought from them last year after the shorter waiting period so the service, even though promotional, should count.

it's such a shame verizon branded android phones can't be bootloader unlocked to use custom roms to extend their livespans to provide a better value, reduce ewaste, etc.
Purchased one recently and it did not have the 1yr service tied to the IMEI. Tracfone is still trying to figure out how to correct this or if it needs to be returned.

If they allowed that you could circumvent their spywear and then how could Verizon sell your data to all those advertisers?
Incidentally, if you don't want the phone loading a bunch of games and apps you didn't ask for go to:
Settings – Apps – All Apps - three dot menu – Show system apps – and disable Mobile Services.
BTW, I've been using one for the last couple years, it's a really nice phone and a bargain at this price.
If i already have a tracphone plan will this add a year to the existing plan or i have to get a new number?
Yes, you just transfer your current service to this phone and the year should add automatically (or after contacting customer support as some users have had to)
I'm surprised this thread doesn't have more interest. It's only $30 more than the more popular Moto G Power 2024 at Walmart, but availability of that varies by location and the Stylus has a better CPU, better screen, better cameras, and better battery life. Both devices are a couple years old and will stop receiving updates in 2027 I believe (pathetic effort by Moto TBH).

You can port numbers freely, before or after that date.
