Question, I'm running a HP Omen 30L with a moria3 (B450 chipset) mobo. HP doesn't allow overclocking or XMP profiles on prebuilts so I've only got 8GB of HyperX DDR4 3200MHz RAM installed. I want to upgrade to 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX, but I've seen a lot of reports that the increase in RAM drops it to about 2400MHz and you can't run in dual channel. My question is, is the trade-off worth it?
Then you have to ask why you need 64GB and why it needs to be medium speed cheap 2x32 vs. fast expensive 4x16 (or 2 sets of 2x16). Very specialty ram, though this is a good deal for what it is. Also this:

I don't believe this is the thread you'll get a great answer to this question in. I would recommend trying http://reddit.com/r/buildapc.

I would think if you got a matching stick of what you have now it would run in the 3200mhz XMP the bios likes, for 16gb dual channel.
This is overkill for most users, especially gamers. Don't buy until you research and see if you actually need this much memory. For 99% of people 32gb is plenty.

But I also respect the "builders" on slickdeals. Y'all know your stuff.
....
That's terrible advice. Lol. Check Mobo specs first.
