I bought this set last week. I needed to replace an old ryobi set (blue) that was a gift when I bought my home. Had some major projects on the horizon and did some researching and found that for the price, these kobalts were a great bargain. I also needed a case, the rigid one is 50 bucks. The extra battery was also nice.

Brushless, case, extra battery this set hit all my needs. Used 3 of the 4 tools this weekend and it's been a major upgrade and I am pleased with the money spent for the value.

the XTR line is really, really impressive. I'd be super interested if I didn't have tons of ridgid octane already.

that's up against dewalt's top of the line impact which is notorious for burning up. the hammer drill even beat out dewalt's 998 which was supposed to be best in class.

Got this along with the 24V trimmer/blower deal. So I should have 3 4ah and 1 2ah battery. Hopefully should complement my little bosch 12v drill and driver I already have for honey do projects.

I don't think so, if you return one they'll likely require you to return the battery associated with it

The XTR impact driver is super powerful with more torque and strength. It also is a fairly large tool. Still better than anything from 5-8yrs old.

Put the hammer drill and impact driver to work this weekend and I must say Wow! incredible strength from these. Glad I went with this set
