Great deal, thanks for sharing!

For those not wanting to risk going in to a Target store today (ie if you live in a major metropolitan area), or if you don't want to deal with Target GC, Amazon has a couple of similar promotions on their 96-ct, including direct savings (instead of a Target GC):

Save $10.00 when you buy $35.00 of Clean Breeze and Spring Meadow pods:

https://www.amazon.com/Tide-Liqui...819&sr=8-6

https://www.amazon.com/Tide-Liqui...819&sr=8-5

20% extra savings on the first order of Free and Gentle pods:

https://www.amazon.com/Tide-Deter...819&sr=8-7

Plus the additional 5% for S&S, and don't forget to claim your $5 off $20 P&G rebate @ pgrebates.com

Edit: looks like user "Nighthound" decided to post about it without crediting me. https://slickdeals.net/f/14092625-96-ct-tide-pods-laundry-detergent-free-and-gentle-16-08-spring-meadow-2-for-30-74-more-w-s-s-free-s-h-w-prime-or-25?

I have been hesitant to use pods - do they work as well at cleaning? I know that they probably smell fine, but I'm more worried about the cleaning aspect. Any opinions?

I've always seen better results with tide than any other detergent. Worth the extra coin in my opinion and I'm typically pretty cheap. Usually I'll buy whatever's cheap for colors and use tide for whites. The only crappy part about pods is that the junk they make the pod out of puts a film on your doors. I've heard nightmare stories but usually mine don't get too bad. Every once in a while I'll wipe them down with a random shirt or something as I'm throwing it in to be washed. Liquid does it a bit too but you can't find deals on granules anymore so what do you do? Good product though.

Why would you want to use pods? It doesn't let you adjust how much detergent goes in the washer. In most cases, a pod is too much (it's more concentrated) detergent.

In most cases, I use far less detergent than is recommended (about half) and my clothes come out clean and without any detergent residue on them. If you have kids that tend to get really dirty - or maybe teenagers who get really sweaty, you might need to use more, but I'd always wash those clothes separately.

A new P&G rebate went live today! You can get a $15 gift card when you spend $50 on selected varieties of their products. If you only spend $20, you can still get a gift card worth $5! pgrebates.com

some of us don't care and would rather the convenience of tossing in a pod. we've used them a while now and never had "residue" on our clothes.

Costco sells 168 counts for $35.49. after the math, I don't think this promotion is cheaper than Costco?

This is about a buck cheaper (6 fewer pods) and comes with a $10 gift card. So this is a better deal unless you can't dream up a use for Target gift card or are not a Costco member.
