Hoping someone with some knowledge on this can assist.
Been looking for a generator for power outages and camping. This fits the bill perfectly
EXCEPT it says not recommended for high altitude, and this has been the same case for almost every other one I have seen at a good price.
Is there something that can be done to make these more suitable for high altitude (5000-10000 feet)?
Is this just a recommendation and means it will produce less power, but ok to run above 3000 feet or will it cause damage?
Thanks in advance!

Probably because it's not CARB compliant.

This is not the inverter style that many prefer for "cleaner" electricity that would be helpful for electronics. I just want to run my travel trailer air conditioner so I think I would be ok. It's also about 10 decibels higher than their little brother rated at 2800 to 3200 watts. Overall though, it looks like a good buy. OP repped.

I keep going back and forth on the inverter type versus something like this. Just not sure which one to pick. quiet/clean power vs more power. This does seem like a really good deal, though

You can replace the main jet in the carburetor, if they have them available. You'll have to have the part number of the carb to look it up, of course.
