Anyone ever made a mat for putting under your office chair on mid/deep pile carpet? I've seen people mention it a few times, but no idea how bad it looks or if it works well long-term.

Nice! Looks even easier. Was thinking about putting some plywood down and then gluing this click-lock stuff, but probably even cheaper to just get some slightly thicker plywood and putting on the self-sticking 12x12" ones.

When I had carpeted floors, I bought a piece of 1/2" plywood and cut it to fit the area. I sanded it smooth and stained it to match the area. It's heavy enough to sit on the carpet without moving and is easy to roll my chair on.
I switched to laminate a few years ago and I went to ollies and found a couple boxes of the cheapest laminate that somewhat matched my current flooring. I snapped about 7-8 pieces together and used some of that non slip rubber matting that is used to keep rugs from sliding, between the good flooring and this cheap.

"Home Depot: Today Only Up to 40% - 54% off Select Smart Security and Surveillance."
And led me to a completely different deal. What happened?
