Lastest updates from acer [acer.com]
There are some shady stuff is going on about this laptop.
Screen is NOT 144 Hertz, Acer website was updated and it was removed.
Here are the questions Acer official refused to answer at bestbuy website.
Q: On the Acer website it states the AN515-44-R99Q "houses a lightning-quick 144Hz FHD IPS display and a lineup of impressive tech to enhance every aspect of gameplay". What is the refresh rate on this panel as well as the specs? (0 answers)
Q: This same model has a suggested retail price of $599 on the Acer website. Same specs, same model number. Whats going on Best Buy? (0 answers)
Q: Why does it cost 70$ higher than listed price? (0 answers)

Will ship by Wed, Jun 10 according to Best buy

Looks like the MSRP on the Acer website has been updated to show $669 so no longer possible to have Best Buy price match to $599

The 144 Hz refresh rate is not mentioned anywhere but Acer official Product Page clearly mentioned that. Source: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/con....Q9GAA.001

Similarly the GPU is mentioned as GTX 1650 but the memory type is GDDR6. In Mobile GPUs, the GTX 1650 with GDDR6 memory is called GTX 1650 Ti, unlike in the Desktop market where those two are different cards. Source: https://www.notebookcheck.net/Ace...174.0.html
A lot of the lower configs we are seeing are Ryzen and lower GTX like the 1650 and then Intel and RTX configs for higher end. You're not seeing as many Ryzen 4000 with RTX even though they are performing better than many of the Intel chips, I think that's what they meant. Hopefully we'll start to see more.
My point is that OEMs pair these new Ryzen CPUs with low tier GPUs and lower quality displays while Intel CPUs get paired with RTX 2080 and 2070, better screen and features overall. Basically this messes up AMD's mindshare even though their CPU is equal or even better than Intel's.

It's dubious because the 144 hz is only mentioned in the product summary in the link. Not even in the official specs there.
Also, BB selling it $70 above MSRP?

I don't think this is a hot deal per say. Also, I'm sure you know that the display is going to be trash on this, like 45% SRGB + 250 nits. I've owned 2 Acers in my life, and they were both "meh".

No, Acer Store does not sell it. It's just listed over there.

At this price point, no gaming laptop comes with 100% SRGB. It's going to be same quality as in TUF A15 with 60% sRGB and 40% Adobe RGB. Not sure why you think the price is high. Can you show me a single gaming laptop at this price which comes with similar configuration and graphics card? Even the TUF A15 model with exact same hardware and 48 WHr battery costs $100 more. Even the Lenovo Legion 5 with 4600H, same graphics card and 250 nits 120 HZ display costs more than $200. I don't think you have a proper idea of the price of gaming laptops. Don't take it in offensive way, just check prices for some comparable gaming laptops.
BTW, It's 45% NTSC in these kind of laptops which roughly converts to 60% sRGB.

Looks good to me. Just add 8 GB ram and it's gonna be a great performer for the price.

High refresh rate or good SRGB, pick one. You ain't gonna get both on super budget gaming laptop.
