No, it doesn't.

I have a work desktop with 6GB RAM, with Win 10 I can easily have 10-15 chrome tabs open over multiple desktops with Spotify and my work software running without any noticeable slowdown.

I had a surface pro 5 with 8gb ram it is not powerful enough to run multi tabs especially if I have background apps running. This 8gb is soldered and if it is single channel then it is bad

i received this unit saturday. i opened it and the ram is soldered. there is no open slot for additional ram. i didnt do any more research before buying and the additional ram is quite important for my uses. i called cs to confirm that there is no ram and they will be picking it up tomorrow.
