Here is a re-post of my comment from the last deal at $280, someone asked if this chair is really worth $300.

Yes, absolutely. This is also a pretty good deal on them. This deal only happens a few times a year and I usually grab one or have a friend grabbing one.

I am still using one of the WorkPro Quantum 9000s I got back in 2011. Zero issues with it, only replaced the wheels with rollerblade ones. I sit in this thing for 7-10 hours a day and have no back issues whatsoever. At work, we probably have 12 of these being used and only 1 person disliked it because he tucks his foot (with workboots on) under his other leg and wore out the padding at the front of the seat which is clearly isn't designed for. We just end up buying him $50 cheapo chairs as he ruins them. Environment is automotive, truck and body shop. They hold up well to dirt, bondo dust, grease, oil, etc. I clean mine once a month with a lysol wipe.

At home, I also have 4 of these chairs. Two for gaming (mine and wifes) and then my wife's craft room has two (one for computer work and one for large table or crafting friend to use).

I have sold probably 4 different friends on these chairs to use after they sat on mine at a LAN party, they love it.

TLDR: These chairs are great. They are knockoffs for $1000 Herman Miller chairs. I have not seen any of these at the Office Depot or Staples that also carry them, so don't know if you'll be able to go try them, but they are well worth it. If mine somehow fell apart today, I would reorder it without any hesitation.

Look at chairs from Vari. They run for $275 and better than these

Can someone measure the seat height to the floor? What's the range?

I bought the 9000 with head rest in last month's deal and have been using it for couple of days now (8 hours a day WFH). It's not a bad chair but probably I was expecting it a lot better for the price I paid $308 plus taxes and the positive reviews I read, primarily here in SD. It has lot of adjustments but the major one I miss is that tilt can only lock at two positions (straight up or all the way back) I read recently even much cheaper model at Staples Hyken has three tilt locks and apparently the middle one works for many users). So just want to give my feedback for buyers to set their expectations. I'll know more on the comfort after using it for a month. Lenovo CS was great though unlike some other feedback posted in previous forum.

Edit: I stand corrected ..tested again just now and it seems to have more than two positions for tilt lock...not sure why it didn't work before (probably just doesn't fine tune at whatever position I want it locked) but I still didn't find the chair a lot more comfortable than my previous cheaper mesh that it replaced ..only time with tell ..

I got the 12000 in the last deal, it has 4 tilt locking positions (I know it's not 9000, just a fyi)

Up this request
I am tall guy and find most of the office chairs to be too low for me.

Something like this [vari.com] Looks very similar to the ones that Staples sells.

Can anyone recommend a high backed chair similar to this in this price range. I like to recline and want a headrest.

We use these at work 24/7 365 and they only last about 3 months before they start to degrade after about 6 months they are pretty unusable. We have been trying to get the company to switch to a better quality chair but they have yet to do so. We used to have steel case chairs and they would last over two years of continuous use.

If you want a chair for more than casual use I suggest you look at a different manufacturer. However for causal use I bet you could get a year or two out of it.

This is hugely helpful and saved me time/money buying this. I'll never understand why it's a standard to only have 2 positions for most chairs.

This is not true. I too have the 9000 with headrest. There are 3 locking positions for tilting - straight up, mid stop, and all the way back. Mostly I use straight up position for working and all the way back position when I want to kick my feet up and relax. Having the headrest in the all the way back tilting is a perfect combination imo 😄

My 9000 with headrest has tilt locks for at least 3 positions, up, down, and middle. There may be another one between the "middle" I sometimes use and all the way down, but I don't care for anything past that first middle tilt.
