**Please note this portable monitor requires a USB-C port that supports "DP Alt Mode". This is automatically part of Thunderbolt, but some non-Thunderbolt ports support it as well. thunderbolt port - this is NOT THE SAME as a regular USB-C port. It must have the lightning bolt next to the port to be considered a thunderbolt port.**

Here's some information from the web on the differences:

Two protocols, one port -
USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 both utilize the same reversible port, which can lead to a lot of the confusion surrounding the two protocols. While a USB-C port and Thunderbolt 3 port look the same, Thunderbolt 3 has some extra hardware compared to the more widely-adopted USB-C.
It's important to know, too, that your USB-C accessories and cables will work with a Thunderbolt 3 port. All Thunderbolt 3 ports are also USB-C ports. However, the same cannot be said for the other way around; not all USB-C ports are also Thunderbolt 3 ports.

No hdmi? Finally a legit no hdmi question in a thread. But seriously though, a monitor with no hdmi? That's like a phone with no charging port, only wireless charging.
Lots of questions and answers from the Amazon Customer Questions. It seems most USB-C HDMI adapters go from USB-C to HDMI, but what we need is an HDMI to USB-C adapter which do not exist. This is according to the answers.

Still don't know about the Switch though.

Edit: according to answers, they could not get it working with the Switch as well
Good deal. Got it when it was $179.99 and have been using it almost everyday. Just make sure your USB c port supports video.

Too many of my devices that'd I want to use this for requires HDMI. Would HDMI to USB-C adapters work on this I wonder? How about using USB-C to USB-C with the Nintendo Switch? I'll research and post if I find any results.

Might be a stupid question:

My laptop has a USB-C which is used as a way to charge the laptop. If I am required to use this USB-C to connect this Acer monitor. How will I am able to charge the laptop at the same time?

So is there a power brick that connects to the Acer monitor via USB-A and then it charges my laptop at the same time?

Thanks in advance

If your port supports video, you can get a usb c dongle that allows you to hook up multiple USB c devices, including power.

They at least should provide and adapter to use HDMI with this.

Your laptop has to support video out through that USB-C port. Some laptops are data/power only, some have video out and data/power. I know for sure that MBP's USB-C poets have video out through the USB-C ports.

Viewing angles are 170 / 170. Seems a little low for an IPS monitor, typically its 178 / 178.
