Almost 5 star rating from 289 people at Target not good enough for you?
People who know about TV wont purchase this model. Those who buy low end TVs wont notice the difference unless they have a good TV side by side for comparison, and Target doesnt really have any high end TVs on display.
My friend just purchased a Vizio V series from Target and he's completely satisfied. That tells you something.
I guess this is a decent deal if you want a huge LG branded TV, but picture quality is not a primary concern. This TV is LG's lowest model series. It does not include the Magic Remote found on middle and higher models. No local dimming either.
Break down of 70UM6970PUA:
70: screen size
U: Lower tier LCD 4K series (could be RGBW). Higher model Nanocell have "S" instead.
M: 2019 model
69: Entry level model. This is an arbitrary number. Range is 69-95.
The rest are minor differences by retailer and country.
Bought it to replace a 60" LG plasma that the smart function is crappingout on.
I think this should be alright for the next 7-10 years as I'm no TV connoisseur. I just need decent picture and I need it to work well with all streaming platforms (Netflix , Disney, prime, Hulu, and YouTube)
Repped OP. Thanks.
I ordered and will decide whether I'll keep it or buy another tv deal. There's so many and it's so confusing comparing TVs

* edit: I'm not saying this is a bad TV.
