Anyone know the approximate play time for these games? I've got a huge backlog and don't have a lot of time, but I've heard really great things about these games?

It's time-consuming. I would say anywhere from 30H Plus.

Just finished Black Flag and did very little side quests. I think my play time was around 25-30 hours. You can ensure things stay sped up by spending a bit of time on the fleet building minigame, it effectively provides tons of resources which will allow you to massively upgrade your character & ship.

Maybe it's my age, attention span, or backlog, I just don't find myself able to give that much time to a game anymore. AC games can get repetitive but I felt AC4 was a strong game and wasn't too repetitive (though it would have been if I had tried to clear the massive map).

Once you learn how to use adjusting ship speed to corner sharply it also makes ship combat much easier as AI isn't very good at maneuvering.

It depends if you are looking to 100% or just play through the story. Rogue is probably 20-30 hours and black flag is 40+. If you do everything in black flag, it's easily 75+ hours.

One game is a download, but it doesn't require a separate code, just the cartridge.
