More selling points for this phone:
6.2" 1570x720 screen with notch, 3GB RAM, giant 5000mAh non-removable battery, USB-C charging, fingerprint reader.
Compared to the older Moto G6 with the same 1yr/1500 plan and $99.99 price on eBay [ebay.com]. The Moto G6 has a 5.7" 2160x1080 rectangular screen without camera/speaker notch or rounded corners, Android 8.0 Oreo (not sure if it will get upgraded), somewhat slower SoC (Snapdragon 450 vs 632), dual rear camera, smaller 3000mAh battery.
AFAIK, all phones (smart or flip) released by Tracfone since model year 2019 are multi-carrier (Verizon/AT&T/T-Mobile), as denoted by "DL" in the model numbers. The only thing CDMA about these phones is that the included SIM is Verizon, as people have successfully used TF/AT&T and TF/T-Mobile SIMs on these phones. There are phones from 2018 (Moto E5, model XT1920DL, LG Premier Pro, model L413DL) and earlier (iPhones) that are multi-carrier too (FWIW, Apple has been making multi-carrier LTE/GSM/CDMA iPhones and iPads since 2013). The last separate-carrier Tracfone I know of are from MY2018: the LG Rebel 4 (model L211BL T-Mobile and L211VL), Samsung Galaxy J3 Orbit (S367VL) and J7 Crown (S767VL).
Most model year 2017+ TF Verizon phones are also VoLTE capable, for when the Verizon's 2G/3G CDMA network shuts down, supposingly at the end of 2020.
By the time this phone can be unlocked for use with other carriers, you can probably buy one for dirt cheap. Tracfone unloaded a whole bunch of the comparable Moto G6 for $35 to $40 in April and May recently. Although I do understand the appeal of a unlocked 3GB/32GB hand-me-down phone, as I know plenty of people still on 2GB/16GB phones (Moto E4/G4/E5/G5/E6/G6_Play and various budget/midrange LG/Samsung), used flagships (Galaxy S7 and S8 4GB/32+GB) are quite affordable now.
This deal was also available a month or two ago & for some reason HSN still hasn't changed the info in their listing to make it more clear. Got one earlier with a coupon & while I still prefer the hand size of the G6, the battery on this one is outstanding for all day use.
BTW this is a duplicate thread, was posted earlier.

At this price, with 1 year of service, and with these Specs.. I would call it a Great Deal.. I know people that pay $100+ for just 1 month for their phone & service.. They have Unlimited Data.. But that's crazy.. Use Wi-Fi..

it looks like the cheapest smartphone plan for 1 month is $20 which includes unlimited talk and text with 1 Gb data.
so, $100 + $20 + taxes
Yeah, seems like bs though if you pay for year up front. On the plus side, they unlocked the phone without any questions.
