This seems like a good deal but there's always some luck involved when getting Dyson refurbs. I haven't bought refurb from eBay or urlhasbeenblocked but I've read some horror stories about moderately damaged/used items being sent back out. I think one in particular that turned me away was for a Dyson purifier fan that just had the old, dirty black filter still in it.
Just for reference, I bought the V8 Absolute March 2019 for $320ish from Kohl's. If you get a decent condition V10, $290 seems worth it, although your warranty is just 6 months from Dyson. I have 2 V8s at two different locations and we use the hell out of them, but the fact that the warranty on a new one is still only 2 years vs the upright or canister vacuums probably means Dyson is expecting these to poop out soon afterwards. I have a Dyson canister as well and it also runs just fine. But I noted the warranty difference and it always makes me think CR may end up being proven correct about criticizing the stick vacuums and not recommending them for reliability issues. Perhaps it has something to do with the battery degradation over time? I can live with that but the Cyclone is the meat and potatoes of all Dyson vacs and if that goes, I don't know how pricey it will get.

Keep checking offerup, letgo and mercari. Risky but worth it if it goes smoothly. New unopened and I was able to register/activate warranty with Dyson
