Can I put this in the ceiling?
It would not be practical but I'm sure there could be a way to rig it that way. If you have cutouts just get ceiling speakers. If you want to rig it to mount on your ceiling you would need to figure out some type of bracket to hold them

I've got a Klipsch 7.2.4 setup gonna add 4 of these as height speakers so have 7.2.8 basically.
Holy crap.. what kind of receiver are you using? I am guessing a 15.2 receiver... those cost like 20k or something..

Ok to use these with non-klipsch front speakers? I currently have in-ceiling speakers that were installed from previous owners but position of them aren't ideal. Wondering if these will give me better sound for atmos.

Get these. And save yourself a couple hundreds https://www.costco.com/klipsch-bo...92282.html

I sit 10 feet from my screen. Would these work better on top of the floorstanding speakers as reflective or would they work better mounted on the wall by the seating area?

That seems like a lot of work, from what the OP posted in the forum. What is the recommended height if they are mounted as front height speakers?

I currently have a pair of Pioneer SP-T22A-LR's and they've been great. However, I was just too curious to see how these Klipsch RP-140SA's would stack up against them, as ratings have been off the charts, so I just pulled the trigger! Cool

Well technically yes they can work with non-Klipsch speakers, how they perform with vary for each person.

I would point out mixing brands is not "ideal".

Also keep in mind these are designed as object based "modules" and they are considered an alternative so again performance will vary from person to person.
So they are not considered "ideal" either.

I have one of the 1st versions of these atmos modules/speakers, the R 14SA.. anyone know how much of an upgrade (if any) these might be?
It's the same as that. Not an upgrade but worth adding an extra pair to do matching front and back atmos

I've had both and I think if you put the right power to them it won't make too big a difference between pioneer and klipsch. I invested in Canton ceiling speakers and while it seemed expensive at the time I have no regrets over the long term. The speakers cost the same as these but the labor was about the same price as the 4 speakers. That's what hurt. But it's nice once in. But these are affordable enough to try it out now. If same
Price I'd pick klipsch over the pioneers

Well, I got the Pioneers for only $99 a pair. I do like the natural angle on the Klipsch since they're steeper as I had to prop something underneath the back of the Pioneers in order correctly reflect the sound to my main listening position.

I haven't been a fan of this ceiling bouncing stuff. Tried a couple pairs and they were meh.... ended up taking a rather largish pair of Polk monitor 40 series II that weren't being used as height channels... and wow! What a difference!
