It also will not record movement if your door is accessible from the side and a small child or if someone drops down and duck walks over to the door from the side. Is why I ended up returning it as Ring customer support said that there was no software fix to correct that blind spot, but due to many customer inquiries that they would address the issue when the new model came out.
Very easy to install, easy to pop out battery to charge, but the view is just too limited. BTW - no, you cannot tilt or angle the camera body as the mount uses the original peephole hole that goes through the door and loosening it to add spacers causes a gap along the hole as well as causing the camera to bang on the door if you close it to fast, it doesn't work right if try to install it upside down plus your range of view gets greatly screwed up.
Likely good "as is" for apartment with an interior hallway door, or if you don't receive packages or your home doorway is blocked on sides by porch or covered walkway/rear patio entrance, but otherwise not full coverage like other cameras they offer.

I don't think so. It's 80 bucks everywhere, though without echo dot.
I purchased this for $149 at Christmas time (at that time it was regular price $199). I guess sometime between then and now it price dropped to $129.99. This is the best deal so far.
