Be aware Samsung will release a new watch (probably the Galaxy Watch 3) by August which should mostly combine the Active functions. Even if you aren't interested in the new model, expect bigger price drops

I hate these comments.. there is always a new product coming out. If we wait for the newest we will never buy anything.

Agreed. Especially when it comes to tech. There are new versions of phones, watches, TV's, etc released every single year and rarely do any of them offer a game changing new feature.

If someone has the money right now and wants to buy something just do it. Tomorrow isn't guaranteed. It's not worth waiting several months just to save a few bucks either.

Exactly, thanks for that. Why wait nearly 3 months to save 30 bucks or so?? I get this is penny pinching Slickdeals, but this is a good deal RIGHT NOW.

True, but some would rather have the most up to date version that is only 20-25% more expensive but has all of the new features. Also, you can avoid the item being obsolete as quickly than trying to save a few bucks and shave off one or two years of usefulness. I was thinking a new Galaxy watch should be coming soon and I would be mad if a new one came out only two months later. If someone didn't care about it being the newest model, then knowing a new one was coming will inform their purchasing decision. Odds are the watch could drop 40-50%, which at that point it is a truly a deal. I appreciate the other commentor giving us the heads up on a new version coming.

That's called OCD. The next Galaxy Watch won't last any longer than the Active 2. You will be telling people to hold off until the next one a month after the GW3 releases.

I actually appreciate the comment since it's hard for be to keep track. I'm close to time for upgrading my phone and undecided if I'll stay on Android or jump to Apple (if Apple, it's mainly because of the watch).

August isn't far away. If the new watch appeals to me maybe I'll stick around.

Though I understand the sentiment in general, but wanted to say I appreciate it in this moment. I suspect many folks actually in the market find the statements more helpful than those on the sideline.

The point of waiting a month or two is price drops or better tech, like an actual working ECG. Tho of us with a Galaxy Watch have been waiting since 2018, so it's literally right around the corner.

Depends if you use always on display or not. I have mine set to a five second timeout and I charge it maybe once every three days
