Depends on your definition of "best" but generally speaking, yes, it should be in just about anybody's Top 3. The wired model is still technically better if you're a purist, but if you need wireless, the Lightspeed models have almost imperceptible amounts of input lag. Personally I have the wired G502 and with medium-large hands the comfort is generally very good with a palm grip. Also speaking from personal experience, my last 2 Logitech mice (the aforementioned wired G502, and the G400 before it) have both far outlived the Razer Deathadders I've had previously - I must say that the Deathadder was very comfortable to hold though.
I have a different Logitech Lightspeed mouse & have been playing FPS since the early 2000s. I no longer play "competitively" but do not detect any game altering lag (at my diminished mid 30s skill ) at all, can't recommend them enough if you're looking for wireless. I'm a wired purist for FPS/accuracy reasons and there's no reason not to grab this.
I personally am in love with the Logitech Romer-G switches too on the Lightspeed keyboards, but that's all preference. To me the mouse being wireless made a difference in clutter, comfort, usability, while the keyboard largely just sits there unmoving. My current keyboard has 2 USB ports in a hub as well so wired for now
