That is fraud. Best case is it's extremely unethical and will only cause HD to get even more strict and make it more difficult for regular people to return stuff. Please don't try this.
Essentially, yes. The last few times the battery starter kit has been the 3.0ah HP batteries vs these regular 4.0ah batteries. But, these 4.0ah are at least the higher end p197 batteries vs the older p108. Better internals/cells.
Yes, you can do this with just a circular saw and a drill. Few tips:
- Make sure you pre-drill your holes or else your wood will split when you put in your screws
- Cedar pickets are affordable and they're naturally good for outdoor applications
I've started a collection of Milwaukee m18 tools (including the $199 grinder with batteries today). I need a decent multi tool for home projects. Should I hold out for the Milwaukee to go on sale, or since this does come with 2 batteries, just go with the Ryobi? (These are for small home projects of someone who is just learning the difference between impact and hammer drills. Call me beginner level).
I've read horrible reviews on the Ryobi. I've been using Ryobi for years and have a dozen or more of their tools but didn't get the muli-tool because of the reviews. I actually ended up getting the Dewalt with 5mah battery deal a couple of months back from a deal posted here, I believe for $119. I was looking at Milwaukee also but saw several reviews that liked the Dewalt better. If I remember correctly the Milwaukee is just on when you push the button whereas you can increase or decrease the speed on the Dewalt with the trigger. Also on the Dewalt you just push a button to change the blade, on the Mulwaukee the blade is held on by a screw so it is more time consuming to change blades.
anybody have the pressure washer? thinking about getting it. Just need something littler stronger than water hose for my back patio and pool decking. Dont want it super strong to peel off stains and paint, just to get dirt off
youtube reviews are good

I just placed an order. I had the tool I wanted shipped to my home and batteries shipped to the store. If I don't pickup the batteries then I'll be refunded that portion of the order?
So just wondering, What happens if you buy this bundle lets say the 2 batteries and the tool the jigsaw and you return the batteries to Home depot WITHOUT a receipt. Will they just refund you with store credit and you receive the tool free??? lol

I've been retiring my Ryobi stuff for Milwaukee based on all the recent deals.
Ryobi is solid stuff. Milwaukee I find substantially better though - so any tools I expect to see regular use my preference remains Milwaukee.
However...Ryobi has a ridiculously large range of tools and they're generally inexpensive. I've had too many 'I didn't even know that tool existed, but I NEED it now! moments with them so Ryobi will remain part of my collection regardless.
If the Ryobi batteries are useful, you can't really go wrong here.
