That is fraud. Best case is it's extremely unethical and will only cause HD to get even more strict and make it more difficult for regular people to return stuff. Please don't try this.
Essentially, yes. The last few times the battery starter kit has been the 3.0ah HP batteries vs these regular 4.0ah batteries. But, these 4.0ah are at least the higher end p197 batteries vs the older p108. Better internals/cells.
Yes, you can do this with just a circular saw and a drill. Few tips:
- Make sure you pre-drill your holes or else your wood will split when you put in your screws
- Cedar pickets are affordable and they're naturally good for outdoor applications
thanks, got the LED worklight that I've been waiting to buy
Me too!!! I already have three batteries but now with this deal, I can have the peace of mind that I'll have enough juice next time the town has rolling blackouts.
Is this the Ryobi deal everyone waits for every year with Home Depot? Looks like a great deal since I am looking for some tools but would like for someone more knowledgeable to chime in
Yes it is, and actually a bit better than before because when I used this deal 2 years ago it was a 3.0 battery and now they are 4.0

Okay but how would they know that it was bought with a tool? The normal price for the batteries is 99$ if I just take the batteries and say I don't have a receipt wouldn't they refund me 99$ them thinking it's just the batteries?

Any advice on what to do if an item is oos online, but found in the store? I get an error message "Your current fulfillment selection is not available. Please choose a different store or have this item delivered directly to your location." There's no other option given to have it delivered. There's a 45 minute wait for customer service.
So just wondering, What happens if you buy this bundle lets say the 2 batteries and the tool the jigsaw and you return the batteries to Home depot WITHOUT a receipt. Will they just refund you with store credit and you receive the tool free??? lol
They mark the items in the sale.
I bought several combo kits a while ago with 2 free tools. I had two Impact wrenches, so I wanted to exchange one for some other Ryobi tool.
My options were to return the whole kit, which was not on sale any more. So no on that
Return the Impact for the prorated $38
They tried to do a return without receipt but the system would not allow it.

They already ban people from returns. Let that guy get put on the list of people banned for life, for $100 fraud. The list get shared with other companies too so you get banned not just from returns at home depot.
Regarding general Home Depot returns, do they have a rule on # of returns?
I have returned some small purchases in the past week and plan to return a reciprocating saw purchase made online back to store for store credit. Not sure if this is "too much"
I do want to purchase the angle grinder ($45). I've already ordered two other combos so have plenty of 4ah batteries. But wondering if it does make sense to just get the $99 deal for angle grinder as well.
Essentially $54 for two 4ah batteries...
Unless the batteries are old and you want to refresh them, seems like the better deal to just buy the angle grinder tool
