Grizzly Industrial has a summer sale going at the moment with notable discounts on many items, including this table saw. Seems similar to the DeWalt 7491RS. Unlike the DeWalt, this one does feature a rip fence that can be laid flat.

Would be a great deal if Grizzly didn't insist on freight shipping for everything, but still a good price on a mid-range table saw.

Dewalt 7491RS has larger rip capacity. This saw's max rip is only 28"

At this price we're only about $50 short of Dewalt or Bosch table saws like this. I don't know much about Grizzly but ai think I'd ante up that extra $50

Grizzly primarily makes pro level woodworking machines. They seem to be well respected, on par with other big names in the business. You have a valid point though. I just recall checking this out when I was shopping for a new table saw a few months ago and probably would have gone for it at this price. I went with a DeWalt 7491RS since it was the cheapest I could afford at a quality level I'd be comfortable with at the time though.

Why are you comparing a hybrid saw with a portable contractors saw. Lets see you lug that Delta from jobsite to jobsite.

Fair point. I was looking at it from a woodworker's perspective. You are right. Sorry about that

They must have released that version recently. Seems to have some nice features for sure. I will say there are a disturbing number of reviews where people had the motor fail in a short period of time that would make me wary though.

Does anyone know why HD/Lowe's (or anywhere) isn't selling any of the Delta hybrid saws anymore? I can't can find them anywhere. Not sure if the pandemic has wiped out inventory, they are stopping sales or replacing?

I'm actually loving it. The rip fence is fantastic compared to my last crappy one and every thing else seems to work very well. I didn't think I would mess with it much since I just use it in my garage, but I find the stand on the 7491RS has been great too as I can quickly tip the saw over, collapse the legs, and push it up against a wall to minimize space when not in use.

I haven't been able to verify this, but someone I think here posted that there were new rules passed that smaller contractor/portable saws can't feature 10 in. blades anymore. So manufacturers will be phasing those out and gradually moving to 8 1/4 in. saws. If there's any truth to that, it's possible Delta has already stopped producing more, but that's just one possibility.

Thanks for the impressions. It seems excellent and I will probably get it. Exact precision and a good fence is key for me.

I also really like the skilsaw one and like how it pulls a lower amperage and can cut a 4x4, but the dewalt seems like a very safe bet.
