Special buy today w/free shipping - the 5.0ah battery will last a good amount of time for light duty work!

EDIT: YMMV Use your mobile device and keycode 269021 for an additional $20 off - makes this a HOT deal! I locked one in and cancelled my other order. I couldn't get it to work online OR with a phone rep. Lucky you that locked it in earlier!

Also - the keycode here on the SD Store page for Northern Tool does not work for this offer, even though it's listed as a $20 off $100.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Northern Tool appears to have hidden the "keycode" box where you can put in promo codes, but if you go to the cart screen once adding this item, and then (these instructions are for Google Chrome) go to the View menu, Developer, Javascript console, and paste in this code:

$("#promo-code").show();

then hit enter, that will make the keycode box reappear and you can put in 269021 to take $20 off and make the price be $129 which is a SUPER HOT deal for this.

For those with this blower, how has your experience been? there appear to be mixed reviews.

It's awesome. Plenty of power, last quite a while with the 9.0 and 12.0 batteries, and is lightweight. Super convenient I find myself using it all the time to clean random things and areas off that I never would have grabbed the gas blower for.

I was blown away... pun intended.

But seriously, very impressed and I was used to using an Echo backpack blower. Very strong with quick acceleration. Can do 90% of my tasks.

I agree with the previous posters. It works well for nearly all uses. It is the one item keeping me from getting the Ego blower, even though I own most other Ego OPE tools.

Have it. Love it. Bought as bare tool. Wife, grand kids, and myself use this tool more than any other.

Is this a good price or even worth it since northern tool cancels every order.

The only drawback is you need to run at least a 5.0 battery, which is to be expected. I keep meaning to use it to dry off my cars after washing as I read someone else does this with good results.

Does not work well to dry off vehicles. At least for me it doesn't. It will blow off some water but leave a majority of the water on the vehicle. Great for many other uses though!

You need a hydrophobic coating otherwise you're just rearranging water droplets.

This is one of the best 18-20V blowers you can get. I think you can get over 10 minutes of full powered run time with the 5Ah battery. It doesn't sound like much, but it should be sufficient for people with smaller homes and needing to clean up their workshop. On the lower setting it can go much longer.

I bought the smaller compact Milwaukee blower instead of this big fuel blower. It lasts probably 25 minutes on a full 5ah battery and its smaller size has made it a lot handier to me than this full size blower. I keep hearing the normal XC 5AH batteries do not last very long in Fuel blower and a HO Battery is required if you have a lot of work to do. Since I only have 5AH batteries I went with the compact.

If you plan on using it to blow off lawn equipment, workshops, cramped spaces, wet items I would instead purchase the smaller blower. If you want to blow leaves and yard debris on a weekly basis, then definitely step up and get this one but you probably want to invest in the bigger batteries eventually.
