can you charge this (say with a 100w solar panel) and run a 65w laptop off the AC or PD at the SAME TIME

Can I use this as a battery backup UPS by leaving it plugged in and plugging a surge protector into it?

Usually battery banks don't do well with being charged and used at the same time. Most have explicit warnings not to do so. Ymmv

yes looking more i see the input is DC Input: DC 18V 2A thats 36w in
or 60w in with PD almost 2x faster
so its a bit limiting with solar
is the PD in & out at the same time

What do you mean by that comment? Never heard of this brand but semi in the market for one of these. Is this brand reputable? Seems like the power bank companies I'm familiar with like Anker etc make these but seem heavily overpriced than to these and "Jackery" which I've never heard of before

There does not appear to be a solar input. I.e. one that can accept a range of voltages produced by the dollar panel. So you'd need a solar charger with regulated output rather than just a panel.

I think amazon has it got 189 - 20 coupon with 22 reviews. I don't really need one but ever since my sump pump broke a few weeks ago I am thinking what is the best option for back up that is not a gas generator. Not sure if this will be able to power a sump pump.

According to this Amazon review, no.

"Not what I was looking for

I can't give this a complete review do to I only used it for 10min. It's being returned.
Overall the unit seems fine. Good quality. Looks well made. Nothing seemed cheap. Packing was good.
My reason for returning it: can not use the unit while it's charging. This is a major disappointment for me. I was hoping it would be like the Jackery 240 that in fact be used while taking a charge.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D29Q...NCb9GS1VQ8

My only reason that I decided to go with this unit was the size."

That being said, I still bought one. Been trying to get something like this shipped to Hawaii for at least a year!

I tried to buy one, but they appear to not want my money. When I hit 'Pay Now' I get the following error:

"HTTP Status Response - Unauthorized"

Update: It does accept paypal.
