It's a bit luck-of-the-draw on factory seconds. Some defects will be greater than others, but most are pretty minor.

Packaging damage is presumably just damage to the box and the cookware inside is still first quality.
Ordered from these guys a couple times over the years. Factory seconds is yes luck of the draw. Had some minor scratches / marks, nothing major but still where possible always vivid packaging damaged as it's the good stuff just a bashed up outer box!

I have two 'Emeril-ware' pans (when All-Clad made them) that are non-stick and they are at least 17 yrs old now. They look and perform like they did when brand new. Take care of them and use them/care for them correctly...they'll last quite a long time.

Their 'Hard-Anodized' non-stick pans seem to last if taken care of.
I have Emeril wear from the early 2000s and I always thought they were good quality. I have the 10" skillet, 3qt suace pan and 4 and 6 qt pot I believe and they are all still used weekly going strong. I didn't know All-Clad made them. I'm here for a 12" skillet - do you know which modern All-Clad would match?

Wait - mine are stainless - not non-stick.

You're probably better off with an enameled cast iron Dutch oven.
Please explain. I am interested.

Do you still get lifetime warranty?
I've had a $20 pan that I've used now easily for 20 years and at least 3 times a week, not sure who pays this kind of money for stuff like this.

I dont see any reason to spend $95 on a nonstick. It uses the same non-stick coating as every other non-stick pan. They're good for eggs and a small amount of other things. I use one maybe 1 meal a month and my $19 non-stick I got from Target is still totally functional after 3 years.
Trying not to be a Karen, but aren't those cheap nonstick made with a material that breaks down easier and is made with a carcinogen?

How do you do fish filet and fried eggs with stainless without having it swim in oil? I preheated and then added oil and they still stick unless it is sitting in 1/8" of oil.
Honestly wouldn't bother. There's three things I use my nonstick pan for, eggs, scallops, and fish. Everything else in the stainless. I may experiment with doing these in a well seasoned cast iron but probably never bother doing it in stainless. Stainless is fantastic for a lot of things but not those three specific things.

Got myself a 6qt saute pan, graduating from an awesome $25 12" stainless skillet. I was looking to maximize diameter, but apparently even the 14" fry pan only has a flat 10" diameter. The 6qt Sautee is 13.5" with vertical sides, so that's considerably more cooking area. I only cook for 2, but often do double servings for leftovers.

I'm happy the SD5 was available, since I'd expect the greater widths are where the 5-ply makes a difference. D5 doesn't make much sense for pans less than 10" or most pots. And the Copper core seems to have suboptimal layering.
The d3 cooked more evenly and outperformed the d5 in nearly every test I've seen online thus far. Multiple pans. I don't think the 5 ply helps with anything except add the illusion of being harder to build and therefore warranting a higher price

It's quite disappointing that this thread turned into a debate whether nonstick should last lifelong or not. This thread is about all clad sales. If you have opinions about nonstick cookwares, there are many places you can post to, or seek advice from. And the discussion on nonstick warranty is just nonsense, in my opinion. Could we just focus on the deal itself? There are many fascinating deals that we can talk about.

Is this good? Planning to order this and mixing bows? TIA
I ordered this yesterday. There are not many reviews about d7 in general available online as they've discontinued this lineup. But it's supposed to be good. All-Clad is trying to make d7 to match the cast iron products, retain heat well. There are a few advantages for going with d7. It is stainless steel, so you can cook acidic food in it which the cast iron normally can not handle. You can also store food in it overnight. Enamel cast iron is good, but high end ones are going to cast about the same or even more. So I'll recommend this to anyone looking for a Dutch oven, a slow cooker, a pot... but use it as a mixing bowl, I don't know. It is probably overkill.

Mixing bowls are set of 3 (1.5, 3 and 5 qt) for $54. Order this as well.

Now after reading about second quality, worried how it is going to turn out.. ordered 4 pieces which are seconds (4 qt everyday essential, 3 qt sauté, fry pan 12", and d7...rest are packing damaged ones. I understand they are not returnable.

Is there a way to edit my order? What if they are bad second quality ConfusedConfused
