I have the corded version of this and its one of my most useful tools - I've cut through exhaust pipes with it and more things than I can remember.
The cordless version would probably have less power, but likely great for detailed work like buffing metal, drilling small holes, cleaning jewelry, etc. Use your imagination!
Description:
- 2 speeds (10K and 22K RPM) to match what you require
- Interchangeable, removable battery pack so you can work continuously without waiting for a charge
- Fantastic for do-it-yourself jobs
- 3-hour charger

I hate exhaust work, but it was cheaper than having it towed just to have it cut out.
I'm trying to build my garage tool resources, should I just invest in a more expensive dremel or is this a good investment?

This is really basic. Buy the bigger model, it will work for anything and this small one will take forever to complete most jobs. get the 8220
